If everything had gone according to the plan, Anil and I just about now reached Machu Picchu :)
The plan was to start the Inca Trail on 29th of December, spend New Year's Eve in the mountains, and wake up early on New Year's Day to reach Machu Picchu by 6:30 am local time. Hopefully, the champagne bottle that we decided to carry with us did not break during the 4-day trek and we managed to raise the toast for the Great Year to come for all of us!
I am also hoping that Chinese are right that what you do on New Year's Day will reflect on your life in the coming year, and that the year 2011 will bring us lots of exciting adventures in many new countries.
